Refining Comfort in Notton: Modernizing with Slider Doors.

In June 2021, Jason and his partner embarked on a modernization project for their bungalow in Notton. Their initial focus was on converting the dining room into a bedroom, starting with the installation of a slider door. This upgrade would not only enhance their living space but also serve as a trial for future renovations throughout the house.

The unique challenge for this project lay in the existing French door reveal. The existing doors were positioned very close to the outside wall, and installing a slider required a different configuration. However, the solution was straightforward: extending the wall along the bottom to accommodate the width of the new door. To ensure a seamless transition, they planned to raise the internal floor to match the existing kitchen floor level and relocate the opening for the new slider.

A visit to a showroom proved vital to see the product up close. Ecotec further assisted by obtaining colour samples, helping the client make their final choice and place the order.

Due to additional building work and limited storage space, the project required precise coordination of delivery and installation on the same day. Our team worked closely with the logistics company and installers to ensure a seamless experience for the client and ensure the successful transformation of their room. The success of this transformation left Jason and his partner delighted with the results. Furthermore, they are already in discussions about Phase 2 options for further modernizing their home!
