Sheffield Home Enhanced with Rationel Glazed Extension

The stunning transformation of this Sheffield home merges traditional architecture with contemporary design in a two-phase renovation.

Phase 1 focused on preserving the original style of the house, using Rationel Formaplus windows on the sides and rear. These windows, ideal for traditional architecture, were chosen to maintain the home’s classic look, especially with windows featuring a curved top —a detail that reflects the original design. All windows are finished in white, similar to Farrow and Ball’s 'All White', with trickle vents and external aluminium sills, which echo the existing design.

The second phase of the renovation was centred on a contemporary wraparound extension, designed to create a striking contrast with the traditional architecture of their home. The extension’s clean, minimalist lines emphasize modern design, with a large glass façade serving as the focal point. Rationel sliding doors dominate this glass frontage, allowing for abundant natural light to flood the interior and seamlessly connecting the indoor living spaces to the surrounding garden.

We provided a complete CAD service for this project, ensuring that every detail - from the design to the manufacturing was perfectly tailored to the architectural plans and handled the entire installation process, ensuring a flawless finish that combines both form and function.
