Internorm Announces Switch to Low-carbon iplus for Sustainable Construction
21
Internorm is taking a significant step towards greener construction with the introduction of Low-Carbon iplus as the new standard for thermal insulation coating, starting January 2025. This innovative change will replace the current ECLAZ® coating, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of windows and doors.
The switch to Low-Carbon iplus will cut CO2 emissions by over 6 kg CO2-eq/m2, saving approximately 10,000 tonnes of CO2 annually. The new glass will also feature improved energy efficiency, with over 50% recycled content and enhanced light transmittance values.
This move reflects Internorm’s commitment to sustainability, aligning with global efforts to create more eco-friendly, energy-efficient buildings.
